Consultancy
With the facility of a well-equipped laboratory and experienced
testing personnel, S. K. Mitra & Associates provides exclusive
and diversified consultancy services with regard to geotechnical
investigation, Material Testing, Non-Destructive Testing and
various studies pertaining to Drainage, Underground Foundations
design and construction, Piles etc. to the construction industry
with adequate technical support and professionalism.
Survey
We undertake Topographical and Contour Survey for projects and
Highways using Total Station, GPS and other advanced equipment and
have undertaken very large project area surveys.
Pile Testing
Pile Integrity Test, to ascertain the health and actual
specifications of recently installed piles, is undertaken with the
help of both Pile Echo Test (PET) and the Cross-hole Ultrasonic
Monitor test. Guidance is given to improve the quality of piles in
case defects are found.
Concrete NDT
We have developed the expertise to test, investigate and predict
current health of concrete with respect to strength, corrosion,
location of reinforcements and chemical attack. Some of the
equipment being used includes Schmidt Hammer, Ultrasonic Pulse
Velocity Tester, Rebar Locator and Cover Measurement, Corrosion
Analyzing Instrument, Concrete Core Cutting Machine etc.
Quality Assurance
Services of S. K. Mitra & Associates have been sought by
various consultants in India and abroad with regard to the quality
of raw material, standards followed during project execution as
well as in-situ quality checks of construction and filling
material, from raw materials to concrete mix.
Health Audit of Marine Structures
Inspection and testing vis-à-vis Health Audit is not
limited to on-shore structures alone. We have the expertise to
carry out health audit concerning under-water structures and we
are the only agency in Eastern India to have successfully carried
out detailed study of a large oil jetty and formulated
specifications for its rehabilitation.
